The StarSense Explorer app utilizes plate solving technology to determine the pointing position of your smartphone. By capturing and analyzing image data of the night sky, this app matches star patterns with its extensive internal database. Unlike other apps that rely on less accurate methods such as gyroscopes or compasses, StarSense Explorer provides unparalleled precision in placing objects within your telescope's field of view.
